Have you checked out the newest feature of CB|CPC? The latest & greatest addition went live in Beta a few days ago and offers advertisers the option to customize their ads even further. CB|CPC Beta testers can now insert <city>, <state> and <country> tags in their headlines and descriptions, which will populate their ads with the geographic information of the end user when the ad appears. The tags are just another way that CB|CPC continues to evolve and offer users a multitude of features to optimize their campaigns.
Customize to Captivate
Now, creating a customizable ad copy has been a proven tactic for enhancing campaigns for a while. But even being in the industry and being familiar with the “tricks of the trade” so to speak, I know that I am still more likely to look twice at (and conceivably click) an ad that says “Great Sarasota Restaurant Coupons!” instead of just “Great Restaurant Coupons!” It’s simply how we’re programmed, so why not maximize your CTR’s by cashing in on our inherent curiosity!
Target, Test, Repeat
And if you’re looking to get really targeted, use the tags along with CB|CPC’s location, category and keyword features to set certain offers to only show to customers in specific regions, with certain interests or who are searching for relevant keywords. Whatever you decide to do, remember to test, test, and test some more, so you can understand what works best and continue to optimize your page.
