Perform[cb] Celebrates Empowerment with Girls Inc.

On Wednesday June 6th, Clickbooth had some summer camp fun when Girls Incorporated of Sarasota County stopped by to explore and learn what it means to be part of our CB family. Girls Inc. provides girls a place to learn, eat, and play every summer. With a mission to provide an enriching summer for the girls, Girls Inc. takes field trip outings, teaches academic skills for the upcoming school year, and allows the older girls to visit businesses around the Sarasota area to learn about workplace environments and explore unique career opportunities.

Clickbooth welcomes Sarasota Girls Inc.

Each of the girls in attendance had an opportunity to sit down with our CEO Erin Cigich, VP of Product Development Julie Martin, Senior Advertising Executive Kate Hagan, and other women leaders here at Clickbooth.

Stefanie Brady, Clickbooth’s Employee Experience Manager, inspired the girls while giving them a tour of the office, sharing her story, and providing an awesome lunch of pizza and wings! The girls were able to sit with different CB employees throughout lunch and ask questions, learn about the different responsibilities at Clickbooth, and get some valuable life advice from our team.

Along with improving academically and socially, the girls learn about healthy eating and the importance of exercise. The program truly embodies its motto of “Inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold” and gives them an opportunity to change the course of their lives.

Girls Incorporated’s amazing programming doesn’t just run through the summer, during the school year their after-school program focuses on science, math, technology, health and sexuality, economic and financial literacy, sports, leadership, and media literacy for girls as young as five through high-school.

Girls Inc. recognizes that girls from at-risk communities are in greater need of their services. Because of this, no girl has ever been turned away from Girls Incorporated for an inability to pay or for not having transportation. More than half of the girls are from single-parent households, and 53% of girls attend Girls Inc. with financial assistance. The organization reaches more than 1,000 girls each year from more than 22 district schools. Girls Inc. is such a crucial program for the Sarasota community, but as a non-profit organization, all of this is only possible through donations from the surrounding community.

We had a great day with our new friends from Girls Incorporated and can’t wait to see the great things they accomplish!
